Quick Bio

I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa in a sprawling ghetto, rife with poverty, but blessed with a spirit of optimisim. Making something from nothing was a way of life and I adopted this philosophy into the rest of my working life. I was the first in my family to pursue higher education, and I graduated  top of my class in Communication Design which opened massive doors for me in the advertising world.

I’m an award-winning creative with over two decades of experience working at agencies and in-house respectively. The last decade, I’ve spent building and developing high-performance creative teams across across multiple disciplines and started to notice a growing trend. In an effort to cut cost, more and more agency owners,were fast tracking creatives into roles they were not prepared for. For example, a mid-weight art director would be thrusted into a creative lead role and then told to “go up-skill” and “learn the role”. What compounded this problem was that those already in leadership had no time to teach or share their knowledge with the newbies which created an “experience gap” that often led to enormous stress and anxiety amonst creatives. I believed I could help bridge or at least close that gap which is why I became a creative coach. 

My mission is to help one million creatives future-proof their careers by developing core creative competencies, building a resiliant mindset and being strategic in realising our goals.
